1. What led you into BHRT and this field of medicine?
My mentor, Dr. Wright. Learning from him opened my eyes to how much hormones shape a person’s health. Once I saw that, there was no going back. This became the field I wanted to give my energy to.
2. What drew you to the BHRT Training Academy?
Donna White. She is simply the best, and I wanted to be part of what she is building.
3. In your role, what do you focus on most when working with providers?
Understanding how and where hormones work. When providers truly grasp that, they can enlarge their tool bag and do so much more for their patients.
4. What’s one of the biggest misconceptions providers have about BHRT when they’re getting started?
That testing alone is adequate. Testing matters, but hormones are a tapestry. Every thread connects to another, and one lab value never tells the whole story.
5. What separates providers who truly succeed in BHRT from those who don’t?
The providers who succeed know the bigger picture. They look past a single hormone or a single number and see how everything in the body is working together.
6. What’s one mindset shift that changes everything for providers in this field?
Understanding how ubiquitous signaling is. Hormones are messengers, and there are many players involved in delivering those signals. B6 is a perfect example. Once you start seeing all of those players, the way you practice changes.
7. What do you love most about working with providers inside the Academy?
All of you are great. But I am a BIG fan of Ms. Donna.
8. What excites you most about the future of hormone medicine?
Seeing how we can use it across so many diverse genres of medicine. Hormones touch every system in the body, so the possibilities keep growing.
9. For someone considering this field, what would you say to them?
Give yourself time to fall in love with hormones. If and when you do, it all unfolds from there.
10. When you’re not working, what do you enjoy doing?
Dancing.
